School Credit for Studying Chinese

Summer Palace ,B
Summer Palace, Beijing
Before arriving in Beijing it is best to talk to an academic advisor and get classes authorized.  There are times when students have commented that they really had to “fight” for the credits. This is because sometimes the academic advisor would say a class may only be worth 3 units when if one looks at the class hours in comparison to a class at the student’s normal University it would be worth 5 units. When talking to your academic advisor, remember to inform them that a Forestry University official transcript can be sent, (upon request) and that the education you will be receiving is some of the top Chinese language and Chinese related classes that are available, by teachers that have been teaching in their field their entire lives.

Another note when talking to an academic advisor is to ask if classes can count for elective credit or general education requirements. This may be accomplished by any of our Chinese culture, Chinese Language, VIP, Summer, or Feature classes.
