Volunteering at a Chinese Orphanage in Beijing

At ENFL we understand the importance of giving back to the community and helping others. We offer several community service activities where our students are able to see China firsthand. These activities consist of as little as a morning up to big special activities that can last several days.

(For trips lasting more than a day, special accommodations must be made and we will announce when one of these activities is to take place)

Day Trips Include

Volunteering at a Chinese Orphanage in Beijing

Visit a Chinese orphanage: Spend a morning visiting an orphanage where you will get to play and run around with some of the most special children in the world.

Teach underprivileged children: Spend a morning to a day teaching underprivileged children. In Beijing there are many migrant workers that bring their families to the city in hopes of earning an income. Many of these children have never seen a foreigner and have little formal education. This gives you an amazing opportunity to be the teacher that brings a student an exciting class that they will always remember

Visit a retirement home: Spend a day leaning to play traditional Chinese board or card games, hear stories about how China has changed over the years. The people living in the retirement facilities want to talk and want to share stories.

Morning in the park: Spend a morning in the park with local elementary school students flying kites, playing Chinese khaki-sack, or bring a western game like a Frisbee. Activities can be anything that anyone can imagine. Just have fun while meeting some small friends.

Environmental act: In China more and more awareness is being brought to the importance of the environment. Spend a morning – day with one of the many environmental groups in Beijing helping to make tomorrow a better for everyone.
